Mobile World Congress : Nokia N96 revealed

As we expected they will, Nokia unveiled their N96 dual slider was finally unveiled during Mobile World Congress 2008 and they also offered us all the specs of the phone. It packs a multimedia computer, optimized for web video and Mobile TV, a 2.8-inch display that supports a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels ,16 milion colors capability, 16 GB of internal memory (extendable up to 24GB with a microSD card type), 5 megapixel built-in camera that has Carl Zeiss lens, flash and autofocus.

N96 also features a secondary VGA camera for video calling, GPS tracking, stereo FM radio with RDS, USB 2.0, TV out, a 3.5 mm jack out, 3G and 3g support, EDGE Class 32, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, UPnP technology, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, microUSB, e-mail, instant messaging, HTML, RSS reader, A-GPS, document viewer, push to talk, and a Li-Ion power source batter. What more could you want? On the Nokia N96 you also have the possibility of accessing mobile video services such as Youtube, SonyPictures and others as well as Nokia Maps application with a lot of cities maps and satellite images available.

It is expected to be available in the Q3 2008 for a price tag of $750. Let’s see what the future has in stores for us, and especially for Nokia.

Samsung G810 slider is now available

Samsung G810 slider

Well, we’re not so sure that the phone from this image is the HSDPA-equipped Samsung G810 but it defenetly look a lot sexier than the one of Samsung’s G810 last week. Just about everyone thinks that Samsung is making its striking do-it-all slider official at Mobile Word Congress. We’re talking about a HSDPA-equipped phone that packs a 5-megapixel camera with face detection, Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) and image stabilization. It also features a 2.6-inch QVGA display, built-in GPS / WiFi, a 3.5-milimeter headphone jack and a 12.9-milimeter-thick frame. We’ll be expecting the launch of this model in March 2008 (in Europe) and the price seems to be somewhere around ?580 ($840).

Sonim XP1, an indestructible phone

Hey, we’ve just heard that Sonim is going to present their Sonim XP1 “indestructible” phone at the Mobile Word Congress in Barcelona. It seems that at the show, the company will challenge the attendees to hurt to phone (i bet they can’t do anything to the phone).
