Dell offers a $879 Blu-ray laptop

Dell had recently announced that buying Blu-ray-equipped laptops can be cheaper than you have ever imagined. The Round Rock, Texas, company is offering a Blu-ray disc playback option with its s with a price tag of $879.
The laptop packs a 15-inch screen and a HDMI port for connecting to high-resolution displays and HDTVs. Things are getting better and better in the Blu-ray laptop sector. Asus also unveiled its M50 laptop that sports an integrated Blu-ray player but they didn’t say a word regarding the price.

We just got a leak of the new Latitude E-series from Dell and, in our opinion, it will be a HIT. As far as we know there will be 2 “senior” versions of the notebooks ( 4.25 pound / 14.1-inch and 5 pound <like the one in the picture above>/ 15.4-inch ). Both will have WXGA and WXGA+ LED backlit displays,
Also, Dell will launch other 2 versions of the E-Series for road warrior types ( a 12-inch , and a 13.3 inch version ) .
Also , we are expecting eSATA, o bunch of USB ports, DisplayPort and PC or ExpressCard slots on the “senior” models.

Dell XPS 420 is now available

The Dell XPS 420 is now available for orders on Dell’s online store. Prices start at $1,499, which will bring you a fairly specced system and a 20-inch LCD. In the base system you will also receive a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, a 13-in-1 card reader, SideShow and an option for an “Xcelerator” to speed up video encoding, Vista Home Premium, 2GB of RAM, Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 processor and 256MB Radeon ATI HD 2600 XT for graphics.
