Nearly 2 weeks after it went on sale the first consumer reviews are rolling in and they appear to be mixed! I’ve had a look at the new Nano in both 8GB & 16GB as well as all the different colors on both Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk - currently the average customer rating is at 3.5/5 stars.

New iPod Nano & iPod Touch Dimensions Revealed?

New Ipod DimensionsiLounge has a hot tip regarding the dimensions for the upcoming iPod nano and iPod touch refreshes. I’m not saying that this tip is 100% real because the diagrams below, that appears to the type of thing provided to case manufacturers, could just as easily be faked. The new fourth-gen iPod nano has supposedly slimmed down to a mere 6.08 mm thick, while the second-gen iPod touch got all curvy on us like big brother 3G, and similarity adds thickness : 8.4 mm thick instead of 8 mm on the original.

iPhone 3G is now official and available

After a long wait, Apple finally decided to officially launch its 3G iPhone. This model comes with some updates to the original iPhone, such as 3G data, GPS, a new shape on the back side, OS supports third-party software, plus corporate email, sync, and VPN features. The other features are similar to the original model, including a large multi-touch display, full web browser, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, iPod music player, 2 megapixel camera, and up to 16 GB of internal memory.

According to the declarations they’ve made, Apple hopes to launch it in 70 countries this year, with the black 8GB going for $199 and 16GB for $299 in black or white.Apple will be hitting the 22 biggest markets, including the US, on July 11th.

Vodafone to Sell Apple iPhone in India

According to a Vodafone press release, it seems that Vodafone will offer Apple?s iPhone in 10 International Markets. The carrier, had recently announced that it has signed an agreement with Apple to sell the iPhone in ten of its markets around the globe. Vodafone customers from Australia, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Greece, Italy, India, Portugal, New Zealand, South Africa and Turkey will be able to purchase the iPhone for use on the Vodafone network.

The sale price of the iPhone in India isn’t known yet, but it won’t take long until we’ll find out.

The 3G iPhone to be tested in Austria

According to derStandard, who also announced that the iPhone would be launched in Austria via T-Mobile, is now reporting that the same carrier will test the 3G iPhone in the aforesaid country. The announcement was made during a press conference in Vienna, at which T-Mobile Austria declared that a UMTS version of Apple’s handset would be “available soon” but before that it should pass some tests. Let’s see what the future has in stores for austrian customers.

iMac with Better Graphics, Faster Processors

Some rumors have been circulating over the last few weeks that Apple was going to update its line of iMac computers. Well, this thing became official a few days ago when Apple confirmed the rumors and announced an updated iMac model range. It looks like the pricing for the new iMac models starts at the same $1,199.

The new line features a new Intel Core 2 Duo processor with even the low-end model getting a 6MB L2 cache and a faster 1066 MHz front side bus, an optional NVIDIA 8800 GS graphics card with 512MB of VRAM, a 24-inch display, AirPort Extreme 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, Gigabit Ethernet, iSight camera and five USB ports.

The base level 20-inch iMac has a 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo CPU, 1GB of RAM, ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT graphics and a 250GB HDD. The system retails for $1,199. Another pre-config 20-inch iMac retails for $1,499 and has a 2.66 GHz Core 2 Duo CPU, 320GB HDD, Radeon HD 2600 Pro 256MB graphics and 2GB of RAM. All new models and options are available now.

Wilcom unveils its first Atom Device production

Well, it seems Wilmcom isn’t wasting any time and it is going launch its Silverthorne-based Atom processors to the market. This weekend, the company unveiled its D4 WSO16SH which measures 3.3″ x 7.4″ x 1? and weighs one pound.

The device features a 1.33GHz Z520 Atom processor, 1GB of RAM (PC2-4200), and a 40GB 4,200 RPM HDD, a 5″ LED-backlit display with a resolution of 1,024×600, a slide-out, 64-key QWERTY keyboard, 2MP camera, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and will offer support for Wilcom’s Personal Handyphone System (PHS) data network.

Willcom’s D4 WSO16SH price tag will be somewhere around $1,272 USD and it will hit Japan in mid-June/

Well, as you might have noticed, this is a new product from Apple. The 802.11n Airport Express which was rumored over the weekend has just became official and it is going to be launched today. This little iTunes streaming pocked base station it is going to cost somewhere around $100. You’ve heard it well, its launch it’s going to take place today.

Meizu forced to close its CeBIT booth

0.jpgMeizu was forced to remove its booth at the CeBIT technology expo after having some legal issues with their MiniOne smartphone. According to a new report by Germany’s Heise it seems that Meizu’s booth was pulled from the show because the Apple’s iPhone is known to be the direct inspiration for the MiniOne. The officials confirmed that some other companies will be pulled from the show as a part of wider initiative to protect patent and copyright owners.

We were announced that full details will be revealed on a press conference that will take place on Thursday. Did you knew that if MiniOne is sold in countries where Apple does business, Meizu will immediately face copyright and patent infringement issues? Well, now you know!
