Sony Walkman Players - What…They Are Back?

I remember when I was a kid, I had a little red Sony walkman player which I could stick my cassette tapes in and listen away, the worst thing about them was the horrible earphones (you know the tacky plastic bits that go all the way over your head and catch in your hair). So whenever I think of a ‘walkman’ I don’t exactly harbour good memories.

On September 9th Apple introduced a new iPod Nano - it’s the 4th generation of the Nano. The thinnest ever iPod with a very sleek design!
Nearly 2 weeks after it went on sale the first consumer reviews are rolling in and they appear to be mixed! I’ve had a look at the new Nano in both 8GB & 16GB as well as all the different colors on both Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk - currently the average customer rating is at 3.5/5 stars.

Hey guys, it looks like Audiovox hasn’t abandoned the RCA Lyra moniker entirely. Storming back from the grave the unknown is the Lyra Slider, a PMP that could go for $29.99 on contract from any major carrier with just a dial-pad and a CDMA radio.

Currently there is still no official press release, only a quite official page at HTC’s own website, depicting the sexy and very smart looking Touch HD from every angle, with every spec exposed! Even if the rumors were spot on that doesn’t mean we’re any less enthused about the 3.8-inch 800 x 480 touchscreen, 5 megapixel camera, and 3.5mm audio jack. As for its connectivity we’ve got Europe-friendly HSDPA, GPS / A-GPS, 802.11g WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0+ EDR and a microSD slot.

New iPod Nano & iPod Touch Dimensions Revealed?

iLounge has a hot tip regarding the dimensions for the upcoming iPod nano and iPod touch refreshes. I’m not saying that this tip is 100% real because the diagrams below, that appears to the type of thing provided to case manufacturers, could just as easily be faked. The new fourth-gen iPod nano has supposedly slimmed down to a mere 6.08 mm thick, while the second-gen iPod touch got all curvy on us like big brother 3G, and similarity adds thickness : 8.4 mm thick instead of 8 mm on the original.

Thinner edges, full plastic back, flush headphone jack and the iPhone 2.0 firmware, that is what the new iPhone 3G looks like. It’s even cheaper than the first iPhone, and soon will be available all over internationally. According to Apple, its 3G speeds trounce the competition, with pageloads 36% faster than the N95 and Treo 750.

After a long wait, Apple finally decided to officially launch its 3G iPhone. This model comes with some updates to the original iPhone, such as 3G data, GPS, a new shape on the back side, OS supports third-party software, plus corporate email, sync, and VPN features. The other features are similar to the original model, including a large multi-touch display, full web browser, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, iPod music player, 2 megapixel camera, and up to 16 GB of internal memory.
According to the declarations they’ve made, Apple hopes to launch it in 70 countries this year, with the black 8GB going for $199 and 16GB for $299 in black or white.Apple will be hitting the 22 biggest markets, including the US, on July 11th.

The Nintendo Wii Fit is now official, and it will be released in a couple of days. As we all know or heard about it, Wii Fit is and interesting device which combines fun and fitness in ways that will make people moving around, having fun and even breaking a sweat. The device is currently available exclusively at the Nintendo World store in NY City but will defenetly hit other shelves on May 21st. If you want to put your hands on it, you’ll have to pay somewhere around $89.99.
