Google Launch New Homepage For BlogSearch

BlogsearchGoogle has announced its new homepage for Google BlogSearch. However the changes aren’t just cosmetic and the service has now adapted some of the technology pioneered by Google News.

BlogSearch tracks the blogosphere and then lists stories in 11 different categories.

Nokia Siemens ? speeds of 10Mbps on your mobile phone

High-speed Internet on mobile phones seems to be the next big bet of producers and GSM providers alike. As mobile internet is getting cheaper, there?s good news from Nokia Siemens as well, as the company is testing the I-HSDPA standard for data transfer which will bring greater speeds to our mobile phone.

Together with Mobikom Austria, Nokia Siemens have tested the I-HSDPA standard and reached a download speed of 10.1Mbps (and this a speed reached in a real-life test, not just a theoretic specification of the standard).

Japan hopes to use high-speed internet thanks to Kizuna satellite

A lot of Americans are very satisfied with the internet via cable and DSL, but Japan is hoping to provide access to more regions in Asia-Pacific with its recently launched Kizuna. For now, the experimental satellite won’t available for commercial use but if all goes well, it will be able to transmit up to 1.2 gigabytes per second at a low cost across Japan and 19 other locales in Southeast Asia. Unfortunately we don’t know when will see this one ready to be used but at least we can salute Japan’s intention to establish a wireless island.
