Finally, RIM’s BlackBerry Bold / 9000 is now official. We currently don’t know anything regarding its price or hard launch date, but we’ve found out some specs :
* Family will include HSDPA and EV-DO versions (including an AWS-capable 1700MHz version)
* 480 x 320 display
* 625MHz CPU, 1GB internal flash memory
* 802.11a/b/g, Bluetooth 2.0 (with A2Dp), GPS, MicroSDHC
* 480 x 320 video recording, photo geotagging
* 4.5 x 2.6 x 0.55-inches, 4.7 ounces
Nokia E71 to get official this week?

The E71 is rumored to be E61i’s successor, and it looks like it’s the only device missing from Nokia’s MWC and CTIA lineups this year. According to the dutch site Mobile Phone Helpdesk is seems that “all arrows point” to an official launch of the terminal on May 8, which means today. The same source mention that official specs have started appearing on retail sites, suggesting that the ship date of the E71 draws near. Some specs : HSDPA, Wi-Fi, a 3 megapixel camera, FM radio all bundled into a package that seems to be just 10mm thick. Hey guys, get your credit cards, because the phone may be suddenly available in a few hours.

Belive it or not, Verizon has just announced that we’ll be getting the BlackBerry Curve 8330 in May, and they never lie about things like that especially when RIM’s latest is now available with a two-year contract for $219 and a $50 rebate. The specs are exactly the same, you can check the below.

CTIA 2008: HTC Touch Dual to be available in US

HTC Touch Dual is a combination of touchscreen, stylus and slide controls and it’s currently available in some markets from Europe, Japan and Australia. It is also expected to hit the US market this Spring, running on a Windows Mobile 6.1 OS and featuring some cool stuff.

Measuring 4.21 x 2.16 x 0.62 inches (107 x 55 x 15.8 mm) and weighing 4.23 ounces (120 grams), the HTC Touch Dual packs a 2.6 inches TFT touchscreen, TouchFLO user interface, a 20-key keyboard, a 2 Megapixel camera, secondary video-call camera, Live HTC Home and a lot more. It is running on a Windows Mobile 6.1 and it will come with the newest version of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer Mobile.
Jason Mackenzie, vice president of HTC America, said : “The Touch Dual will be among the first devices in the United States to run Windows Mobile 6.1 and will be followed by a range of 6.1 updates for several other HTC products.”
In Europe, HTC Touch Dual’s price tag is somewhere around 500 euros (between $620 and $780). We have no information regarding its US price, so let’s wait and see.
Blackberry Curve 8330 to be available on Sprint

I don’t know if this is real or not but according to some rumors it seems that the BlackBerry Curve (in black) is going to hit Sprint this month.
The black version is defenetly way hotter than the silver one and it features a 2.0-megapixel camera with video recording, advanced media player for music, videos and photos, 3.5 mm headphone jack, Bluetooth with support for stereo headsets and car kits, microSD/SDHC card slot for expandable memory (8 GB memory cards) and the ability to be used as a modem with a laptop.
The BlackBerry Curve 8330 will be available later this month for a price tag of $179.99 with a two-year service agreement.

There were a lot of rumors running all over the internet, but now it’s official! The BlackBerry Curve 8330 will finally go live on Verizon Wireless but not sooner than May. It’ll cost you $270 after a $50 mail-in rebate and 2 years contract with some discounts available when signing up for eligible voice and data plans. The 8330, which measures 4.2 x 2.4 x 0.6-inches and weights only 4-ounces packs a 320 x 240 pixel display with light sensing technology that automatically adjusts brightness for optimal viewing in outdoor, indoor, and dark environments, 2-megapixel camera, media player, stereo Bluetooth audio,3.5 mm stereo headphone jack and dedicated volume controls,,, microSD / SDHC expansion, and 260 minutes talk / 11 days standby.

Smartphone Dell might be the iPhone killer

According to an article written in Forbes, Dell is going to launch a new smartphone, but this rumour is unofficial and still unconfirmed.

Obviously, we don’t know any details yet but we are curious to find out that kind of system will the new smartphone feature (maybe Windows Mobile). This “iPhone killer” is expected to be launched at the beginning of 2008.

Sprint has announced the launch of the BlackBerry Pearl 8130, which will be carried on their backs. This model will be available fron next month and it will feature an integrated GPS, which Sprint is teaming with its Sprint Navigation service, a 3.5mm headphone jack, stereo Bluetooth support, 2 megapixel camera, and externally accessible microSDHC slot.

Pocketinfo.nl have just obtained some informations about ETEN’s Glowfish M800, the successor to the X800. The M800 will feature a 500MHz processor, 256MB ROM, two cameras, VGA display, HSDPA/UMTS, GPS and a standard stereo headset connector. The HTC TyTN II should look scared; the M800 will be available in stores starting November and the price will be somewhere between $844-$886. People think that Eten’s Glowfish M800 will “steal” smartphone’s crown , let’s just wait and see what happends.
Samsung SGHi780 gets official

Samsung couldn?t keep the secret of the misterious handset for too long, with official specs leaked by way of the Bluetooth Special Interest Group. The Samsung SGH-i780, a Windows Mobile 6 Professional handset that features several upgrades over the lagging Blackjack that it is surely destined to replace. The phone also features a 2.55″ 320 x 320 pixel touchscreen, UMTS/HSDPA connectivity, Bluetooth 2.0, Wi-Fi, and GPS, a 3.2 megapixel camera, front facing VGA shooter, and a microSD card slot. The European launch of this product is expected in the very near future, and hopefully a Blackjack 2 launch on AT&T before the end of the year.
