We’re still in Nokia’s “no major new products” quarter and we’ll have to get used with releases like these 5320 and 5220 candybars. The terminals are ok, but unfortunately it won’t win back that 1% lost market share. The 3G HSDPA 5320 is a dedicated music phone which packs N-Gage gaming keys, a 3.5-mm headphone jack, up to 24-hours of play time, up to 8GB of expandable storage and a “Say and Play” voice controlled playlist (gives you the possibility of telling the name of an artist or song and the phone will play it). The other one, the 5220 doesn’t feature the HSDPA but it adds a lanyard.
The price for 5320 and 5220 will be ?220 / $351 and ?160 / $255, respectively. Both expected to hit Europe in Q3 2008.

The phone packs some interesting goodies and it’s Nokia’s first Symbian S60 phone. Its display is larger than 3 inches and features a 16:9 aspect ratio, while the thickness is unknown.
According to Symbian Freak, the Tube is expected to be smaller than Nokia N73 which means its thinkness won’t be larger than 19 mm. Among the revealed features, the Tube also packs a 3G connectivity (HSDPA and UMTS) but also GPRS and EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS and geotagging, Universal Plub and Play, Bluetooth and some advanced audio capabilities. The camera doesn’t seem to be comparable to N82’s or N95’s but it is said to be a good one.

Motorola’s goal is to reduce costs by some $500M by the end of the year and to be sure the “mission” will be accomplished, Moto will close a factory in Singapore and a WiMAX development lab in Florida. There’s no word on when the cuts are going to come.
